SCHOOL PERSONNEL
Deputy Principal
The Deputy Principal is responsible for the day to day administration of the school, as well as overseeing student welfare.

Head Teachers

The Head Teachers have full oversight of the teachers, the curriculum, teaching programs and the allocation of students to classes in their respective subjects.  Questions as to a student’s progress in a particular subject should be addressed to the Head Teacher rather than to the class teacher in the first instance.  He/she will often arrange for you to talk directly with the teacher concerned.  The Head Teachers usually pass on information concerning students having difficulties or problems in their subjects to the respective Student Adviser.

Head Teacher Administration

The Head Teacher Administration is responsible for the daily organization of the school and the organisation and implementation of formal examinations.

Head Teacher Welfare

The Head Teacher Welfare has responsibility for initiating and supervision of the Student Welfare programs throughout the school and general oversight of the support structures including Learning Difficulties, Integration and English as a Second Language (ESL). He/She liaises with the Student Advisers on matters of welfare and attendance and lateness, ensuring parental awareness of problems in this area and the counselling of students whose attendance may be causing concern.  The Head Teacher Welfare also has direct responsibility for assisting Year 7 in transition.

Student Advisers

The Student Adviser has general oversight of all the Class Patrons and students in your child’s year.  Their duties include all matters pertaining to a student’s choice of electives, including advice and counselling to both student and parent, the sending out of progress reports and arrangements for entries for Public Examinations.  They are the appropriate people to approach in the first instance regarding all matters to do with a student’s general progress and adjustment in the school.

Roll Call Teachers
The Roll Call Teacher is a teacher who, in most cases, both teaches your child and marks the class roll. He or she is the one who, as the year progresses, can be expected to know your child as a person possibly better than any other staff member.

The Careers AdviserT
he Careers Adviser will help students make decisions by providing information and advice in regard to courses of training and job opportunities in suitable careers (considering personal interest and abilities).

School Counsellor
The School Counsellor assesses and counsels children who are experiencing developmental difficulties of a personal, sensitive nature, or others relating to learning, study, emotional, perceptual, migrant, interpersonal or social adjustment problems.   Children can refer themselves directly or by appointment slips kept in the Administration Office.  Similarly, teachers can refer students by completing a referral form or by direct consultation.   Many developmental problems that children experience require on-going counselling, together with parent and teacher support over a considerable time. The Counsellor is required to assess such special needs of any student and with the staff involved, submit a recommendation for meeting that student’s particular educational needs.  Appropriate support services or special placement may then be approved and implemented when available.

General Assistant
The General Assistant completes minor repairs to the school buildings and equipment and looks after the grounds and gardens.

School Administrative Staff
The School Administrative Staff will arrange appointments to interview staff, deliver urgent messages to students, receive sick or injured students and may be approached for general enquiries.
