Oatley says "NO DEAL" to violence against women

Lisa White, Tapa Paulo and Mr. Kevin Wright represented GRC Oatley Campus at the White Ribbon Conference.

It was a successful day during which both students joined other young adults from schools across the region in denouncing violence against women and taking a pledge never to "commit, excuse or remain silent about violence against women."

P and C Support for New Technology

Thank you to the P and C for their $10 000 contribution for the installation of 20 new Interactive Whiteboard projectors.

The support of the P and C is valuable in providing the latest educational technology to our school.

The purchase of the 20 projectors ($40 000) was funded from school fees.
Parent support in paying school fees and the P and C levy is most appreciated.

NSW All Schools Cross Country
Congratulations to our wonderful “ladies of long distance”
cross country team who covered themselves in glory over the
lung busting course at Eastern Creek. The team finished fourth
in NSW and included Laura Henry, Leah Steiger and
Sidney Widjaja.
Individually, Ali Najem finished 4th in the Open Boys
event and Jordan Natoli finished 21st in the 1
7 years division.

Sydney East Athletics

The success in athletic pursuits transferred to the track at Sylvania for the Sydney East Championships. We are extremely proud of the whole team and special mention must go to the following athletes who progressed to the elite CHS carnival. They included:

Laura Henry – 1st 3000m walk
Yannis Shaw – 1st 800m
Ali Najem – 2nd 800m
Jordan Natoli – 3rd javelin
Leah Steiger - 2nd 3000m
