GRC Peakhurst Campus is located in the Southern Suburbs of Sydney, just north of the Georges River.

The History of the Local Area
1843 - Major Thomas Mitchell starts constructing Mitchell's Line of Road to the south.
1850 - Michael Gannon acquires John Townson's grant for £732 and the area becomes known as Gannon's Forest.
1856 - The first Wesleyan Church in Peakhurst - used as a school until 1877.
1877 - The first Peakhurst Public School built on Forest Road.

Building commenced in 1876 and opened in 1877
1882 - The appointment of the first policeman to the district.
1885 - The first Post Office established in Peakhurst.
1929 - The second Peakhurst Public School built in Bonds Road.
1947 - Olds Park, on Forest Road, Penshurst dedicated.
1965 - H V Evatt Park, Lugarno opens.
1988 - Proclamation of Hurstville as a city 25 November.
