Peakhurst Campus Library promotes quality learning in a safe, secure environment. This library is set in a modern purpose built building with excellent resources. There is a technology area with 16 computers and a collection of 15000 print resources.
Students are allowed to borrow 4 items each and the borrowing period is 2 weeks. This borrowing period can be extended if necessary. However, overdue items are treated seriously and merit points are lost if overdue notices are ignored.
Students in Year 7 are required to borrow and read books from the Home Reading Scheme as part of their daily English homework. Books are graded from Level 1 through to Level 10 and students are expected to read 3 books from each level before progressing to the next level. After reading the required number of books in Level 10, students may borrow from the general fiction area. Certificates of achievement and merits are awarded for each 25 nights of reading.
