MOBILE PHONES

Mobile phones, although a useful tool in some instances, can cause unnecessary interruption at school.

In conjunction with the P & C Association, the following policy was developed:

• Mobile phones may only be brought to school for emergency use or safety reasons.

• Mobile phones must be turned off at all times except for recess or lunch.  There should be no use of a phone during class time or at any time in learning spaces such as the Library, Performance Space, kitchens, etc.

• Students who use mobile phones inappropriately will have sanctions imposed.  Parents will be informed.

• The school will not allocate valuable resources to investigating lost or stolen mobile phones.
